Stoleco Blood Bowl Organization (SBO) Rules

version 4.0b, Feb., 13th 2010

Definitions

  1. “Stoleco Blood Bowl Organization” or “SBO” is a Blood Bowl teams league aimed to get subscribed teams and their coaches in contact, organize seasons and tournaments, publish information about itself and its activities and maintain relationships with neighbour leagues.
  2. “Stoleague” is the group of seasons, tournaments and events organized by SBO.
  3. The Stoleague is organized in two about-five-months-long seasons a year, each followed by one end-of-season major tournament of about two to four weeks. The four major tournaments, each of one take place every two years, are: Spike! Magazine Trophy, Dungeonbowl, Chaos Cup, Blood Bowl. In the remaining weeks of the year, minor events could take place, such as Beach Blood Bowl, Tzeentch Open Tournoi, Bugman Beer XXX Triangular, True Dungeonbowl Multiball.

Rules

  1. The Stoleague uses the Blood Bowl Competition Rules with the following exceptions or optional rules choices. Every rule must be followed to the letter.
  2. A coach may run more than one team at the same time (see Rules page 24). Each team must be composed of different, distinct models. Should two teams of the same coach happen to have to play in the same match during a tournament, that coach must choose which team will have to refuse to play the match before its start, like as refusing a challenge (see Rules page 31).
  3. Spiralling Expense Modifications: 2,000,000 breakpoint with 100,000 step size (see Rules pages 29 and 54).
  4. Special Play Cards: the decks are added to the list of inducements (see Rules page 54, Special Play Cards, option 1). If decks aren't phisically available at a match, Special Play Cards can't be induced.
  5. Which four teams will play in a end-of-season tournament are determined depending on the particular tournament, as follows. Spike! Magazine Trophy: the four teams, of distinct coaches, with the highest Fan Factor. Ties are resolved considering higher Team Value, then higher win ratio in the previous season; any remaining tie is resolved randomly. The four teams are coupled in the semifinals randomly. Dungeonbowl: the four teams, of distinct coaches, with the highest Team Value, then higher win ratio in the previous season, then higher Fan Factor. The four teams are coupled in the semifinals randomly. Chaos Cup: the four teams which accede to semifinals are determined and coupled totally randomly among those teams that played in the season. Blood Bowl: a table of teams is compiled in decreasing order of highest win ratio in the previous season. Any tie is resolved considering higher Team Value, then higher Fan Factor, then randomly. The first team will play a semifinal match with the third one, and the second with the fourth one.
  6. In semi-final and final matches, tie results are not allowed. Sudden Death Overtime and Penalty Kicks (highest d6 roll wins) must be sorted out if necessary.
  7. Majour Tournaments fringe benefits are as described in the standard rules included in the Blood Bowl game.
  8. Should they conflict, every particular tournament Rules have priority on these Rules.
  9. Models should be painted. An unpainted model can't use Team Re-Rolls.
  10. Players must be represented by an appropriate model of matching race and position. Players not represented by appropriate models can't be set up and used.
